Depending on your neighborhood, there seem to always be women and men around who are willing to help with anything they can. In my neighborhood, every young woman in the area was given a bridal shower from the neighbors. People helped make food and even served at the wedding celebrations. I had a friend who lost her mother about a year before her wedding. Knowing of her loss and her upcoming big event, a few women showed up at her door and asked how they could help. My friend didn’t even know what she was supposed to be doing, let alone give tasks to others. These women jumped in and kindly helped her get organized and plan her day the way she desired. It soon became a big neighborhood project for this young woman who was so grateful for the love others demonstrated. A couple of women made alterations to her bridal gown. Another checked out the prices for the menu items the bride was wishing for. One spouse of those women is a graphic designer and he designed the invitations to her fancy. Others gathered frames for the couple’s photos to display on the tables at their reception. There are many tasks that many others can do. The bride does NOT have to do it all. A smart bride won’t do it all! My friend not only received much help with her wedding, but she also learned a very important lesson about the human soul. We love to feel needed and helpful.
Therefore, as you begin those steps of planning your wedding, remember that there are many, many people in your life that will be more than willing to help with whatever you need. If you have your event at wedding locations in Utah like Atrium Weddings, you will have the option of self-catering too. This can save money and provide a wonderful opportunity for others to help with your beautiful wedding day.

Atrium Weddings is one of those reception centers in Utahthat creates romantic moments without a lot of decorating. With all the green lush plants, water features, and garden furniture, the couple can feel like they are far away in an exotic comfortable setting. This couple chose Atrium and as you will see from the photos, their ceremony and dinner was magical and so beautiful. Their photographer is TJ Romero (RomeroPhotgraphers.com) who is lives in Denver, Colorado, but does a lot of work here in Utah. His style is very clean and he has a knack of capturing those special moments.
Michelle and Jeremiah were planning on having their ceremony outside, but due to a Utah heat-wave, the event was brought indoors to the air-conditioned main hall of Atrium. With a touch of white sashes on some of the chairs, the setting was ready. Their adorable children helped as ring boy and flower girls.
Mindy Mellenthin was their caterer for their wedding luncheon which was served buffet style. The menu included pecan green salad, fresh fruit, and delicious home made rolls. Guests could enjoy the sweet crystal candy sticks or their gift box of a mini wedding cake. These were placed at each table setting. Our Atrium wedding venue dish-ware package was used for the dinner before the reception.
Her floral designs were by Skyline Flowers. Simple vases of lilies and roses adorned the buffet tables. Atrium’s wood bases were used for the guest tables along with Atrium’s boxwood wreaths. The bride’s bouquet was created with elegant flowers in whites and creams. A variety of textures were combined with the soft touch of lamb’s ear giving it an extra chic feel. Boutonnieres were white roses with a touch of freesia.
One Sweet Slice was the chosen cake provider at this Utah wedding. This stunning cake was a majestic square three-tiered masterpiece. One large fondant ribbon draped over the chic grey walls and the rows of pearls at the base of each tier. Rose petals were scattered at the base over the Tiffany blue table linen. Simple and extremely elegant is how I would describe this work of art.
Wedding reception centers in Utah can already have the atmosphere a bride needs without spending a lot of money on added flowers and decorations. Atrium Weddings is one such Utah wedding reception venue.

Utah wedding venues are many, but few allow the bride to experience that outdoor garden weddings in the middle of winter. Several issues can hinder an outdoor garden wedding like weather, out-of-season plant material, and safety concerns for family and guests. Utah only has about 4.5 months of the year that are freeze free, therefore brides looking for Utah wedding locations should seek Utah wedding reception centers that provide an “atrium” for that garden feel. Hence, Atrium Weddings is such a venue.
Atrium Weddings provides that beautiful outdoor feeling without the worry of winter snow and cold outside. If it does snow during the ceremony or reception, you and your guests will love seeing the winter wonderland from the spacious windows of this reception center in Utah.
Having your ceremony and reception or even a wedding luncheon or dinner, in an atrium setting liberates your funds to be used in other details you wish. Why? First of all, because you don’t have to decorate a lot. The greenery of many varieties of plants is a beautiful backdrop for an accenting color selected by the bride! Dad’s pocketbook doesn’t have to pay for extra floral arrangements to create a beautiful setting for the ceremony and celebration.

Tom Catrow was their caterer who served his own delicacies including puff pastries, sandwiches, fruit kabobs, and an assortment of cheese and crackers. A close friend created the flower arrangements and Granite Bakery created their cake. With a touch of beach style, the tiers of cake sat upon glass vases filled with sea shells. Seashells also dotted the table centerpieces.
Notice the groom’s cake. Obviously Rubics Cubes are big with this groom. He cut one perfect square out of it and shared with his new wife.
Ryan Cummings was the photographer at this Utah wedding. He is a local photographer who teaches at Salt Lake Community College. He enjoys photographing brides in Utah wedding reception centers like Atrium Weddings.

The first event I’ve attended where I was tempted to taste from the fountain of chocolate, and I love chocolate, was this wedding celebration at Atrium Weddings, one of many wedding venues Salt Lake City accommodates! You ask why? Because the fountain was being guarded by a woman who kept the little children from sticking their fingers in it or double-dipping.
At any event that offers a chocolate fountain, I always linger away and buy a chocolate bar on my way home after the party; but when I noticed the “guard”, my mind was put at ease and I felt comfortable to give it a try. I let the chocolate cascade over a strawberry and then over a cookie. I sat at a table and took my first Chocolate Fountain taste. Yum! It was truly so delicious that I was tempted to return to the fountain and like a kid, stick my finger in or even extend my tongue, but then I came to my senses.
From now on, I think I’ll be that guard at a chocolate fountain and enjoy the chocolate while I stand my ground!

In May, a lovely bride and her groom celebrated their marriage at Atrium Weddings, one of Western Garden’s wedding venues Salt Lake City based. Pink and white were the chosen colors and this bride and mother added a dainty touch to the Atrium’s garden atmosphere. Trinkets, ribbons, lace, simple tulips in vases and rose petals scattered about created such a beautiful style that complimented this beautiful bride. Sweet pendants with the couple’s name adorned the fireplace and another strand of pendants thanked the guests as they departed this Salt Lake wedding venue.
The groom’s father amazed the entire party by being the caterer. Obviously he was well organized and commandeered good help. Lasagna with salad and breadsticks were on the menu for the 300 family and friends that visited the party.
Exquisite bundt cakes by Nothing Bundt Cakes served as the wedding cake. Enjoy the photos by Lindsey Shaun Photography, one of many photographers that enjoy photographing at wedding venues in Salt Lake City like Atrium Weddings.

Many times reception centers Utah can arrange and provide some of these unique extras.
Using a small herb plant as the place marker for every guess, is a gift that truly keeps on giving. Having the name of each guest on the pot or on a marker that is stuck into each plant, personalizes and reserves the place for the guest. An herb plant that is commonly used, plus easy to take care of, makes a great gift that your guest can use over and over again. Your wedding guest can place the herb that is planted in a 6 inch pot home, and place it on their windowsill to clip fresh onto salads and food at mealtime. Utah wedding venues like The Atrium at Western Gardens can handle this detail for you, to provide your guests with a memorable gift that would remind them of the wedding on a daily basis.
Adding illumination under the tables can provide an awesome effect during the reception, without a lot of additional cost. The colored lights are placed under each table and provide a beautiful glow through the tablecloths. Every table can have a different color, or the colors can be designated by giving the bride & groom a certain color with their family members being a different color, and the guests a final color. Even the buffet tables and cake table can have lights added to the underneath, along with any other tables in the Sandy reception center.
Placing customized beverage and food bars can add a special touch to your wedding. Some wedding venues in Utah can provide extras like an espresso bar, or maybe an herbal tea station. The type of beverage bar you provide will depend upon the preferences of the guests that are attending the Utah wedding reception. Specialty fruit, ice cream or frozen yogurt, popcorn and even sushi bars can add a flair to any Utah wedding locations.
A chocolate fountain could also be provided by wedding venues Utah, that many of your guests will love. The chocolate fountain table could include a variety of chocolate choices, like milk chocolate, dark chocolate, even white chocolate. Many weddings have shown that this is one of the favorite additions for a wedding, because so many of the guests like chocolate.
These are just a few wedding extras that can be added to any wedding receptions in Utah, to create unique memories of that special day. With a little thought and consideration of what the guests that will be attending the wedding would enjoy, you can provide everyone with a wonderful experience they will never forget.
Outdoor weddings are so beautiful, and with a variety of extras that can be added to make them unique, they are an excellent alternative. There are some issues with an outdoor wedding, though, with the main one being the weather. Choosing a facility that offers you a Sandy Utah wedding venue in the same location as your Sandy Ut wedding reception. This will help keep the costs reduced because of a couple of factors. The first being, many of the plants that are included in these type of wedding venues Utah will help add to the flower decorations, so you will not need as much money for the flowers. There is a variety of options available for serving guests. If a couple’s wedding is on a tight budget, it might be best to serve hors d’oueves. Serving small appetizers and beverages is a cost-effective way to satisfy guests yet allow mingling and introductions. If the budget has more flexibility, a formal sit down three-course meal is advisable. A sit-down meal typically allows the option of a beef or pork tenderloin, chicken, salmon and a vegetarian dish. Giving guests the opportunity to select their menu choices ahead of time allows them to choose something that fits into their dietary preferences. It is important to remember that while couples invite their family and friends, they do not know the dietary requirements of all guests in attendance. Another excellent option is a buffet-style meal that allows for a variety of dishes, does not require people to select specific meal options ahead of time and helps promote mingling while people stand in line. It is important to consider space requirements, size of the room and the number of guests when considering what type of meal is served. If the room is an odd shape, it will be more difficult for guests to mingle in a buffet line. If the room is large, a buffet line might help draw people together by promoting conversation.
Buffets are an outstanding option for a luncheon reception. It helps give the reception a lighter, less formal feel, while allowing guests to comment on the wedding ceremony and catch up with one another.
Couples should confirm that the caterer is responsible for setting up the meals and cleaning up at the end of the event. This is another benefit of hiring a professional caterer; it will help streamline a couple’s special day.
Typically, catering companies also provide waiters and beverage servers. It is vital to make sure a catering company is on top of guests’ needs and requests, as this helps ensure that guests have a memorable evening. It is essential that food be served when the beverages begin making their way to guests. To help avoid an embarrassing event, guests should have a full stomach while partaking in alcoholic beverages.
